Just so you feel like you're here: a few nuggets of truth from Izzy.
Today I was outside with him and, thinking about bird flu, I told him that if he ever finds a dead bird, that he needs to not touch it. He looked at me quite seriously and said ,"And the grass is not 'ghetti."
After that had sunk in, I said "The grass is not spaghetti?"
and he said "We do not eat the grass."
How he learned this, perhaps one of life's big lessons, I am not sure. But isn't it cool he did?

I think he seemed quite knowing when he said it. I don't think he had a clue why I was worried about birds, but he definitely seemed to have some wisdom about grass & spaghetti. Maybe he just thought he should protect me as I was protecting him.
