Then today Caitlin was in the basement and we heard her say, "Mom, can you come here?" So Mom went downstairs, and there was Snowball in front of the wardrobes, only she wasn't a mouse; she was in fact a female Eastern Hercules Beetle.
Brave Mom managed to get Snowball into a jar for us to admire and figure out what kind of beetle she was.
Caitlin retreated to the pool table while Mom tried to catch Snowball.
