Concert

Tim's stories on this blog have been pretty cool lately, so I figure I've got some catching up to do. Here goes...
Last Sunday I went to a music festivel called Carolina Hope. It was an interesting crowd to say the least, considering you had Caedmon's Call/Andrew Osenga/Over the Rhine fans, and then there were the Indigo Girls fans. I went with a girl who we'll call Eunice, in order to protect her privacy.
So after Andrew Osenga's set, he was letting me play this $4000 guitar of his, and I was telling Eunice about it. I asked Andy if he had this other kind of guitar with him (the kind I want), and he said "No, that one's on the bus, but you're welcome to go try it out if you want." So Kevin (one of his roadie people), Eunice, and I headed towards the buses. Kevin wasn't sure if we'd be able to get past the guards, so he let Eunice carry a guitar and I carried a big box thing, and we cleared them with a bit of nervousness but without a snag.
Then we got to the Caedmon's bus and just hung out for a while in the kitchen area, me playing the guitar and Eunice talking to Andy's wife while she fed Ella baby food. It was pretty fun.
After that, we went backstage and watched this singer Aimee Mann from the back for a while, and I realized I was standing right next to Amy Ray from the Indigo Girls.
So, actually, not as cool as a pet possum or a pregnant man, but it was pretty fun.

It's no wonder you like to go to concerts so much. You just don't go to concerts like regular people. You do the stuff other people would go home from the concert and have a dream about.

And the Gerbers is a pretty cute touch.

As I scan the horizon for commenters, I sense a great absence.
(Boy, was that sentence just the most terrible piece of literature you've ever seen or what??)
Anyway, back to my point. For example, where are Josh & Abby? Did they move away & not tell anyone?

tonight, girls, play your hearts out. do it for the children. Oh, my girls. Beat them down! Hit their little heads so hard they don't know what happened. They need to know they don't need to be messin' when you be gettin' your Euro-clyde on.
I'm glad we had this little talk.

You're so funny. They are gone for the day, but I called them & read it to them. Now they will be ready to play.

And they should really give some kind of report concerning that game. They had great support from their fans!

Hey Ben,
I think that's way cool! Even cooler than your rabid bat story.
