I have so many, too numerous to count! The question really is what can I feasibly accomplish in a months time? HOPEFULLY potty training, but sickness and travelling have set us back a bit... I'm also having fun cooking through a bunch of recipes my mom gave me last Christmas, stuff I've grown up with but hadn't really tried on my own. There is something very "homemaking" about preparing food that you are familiar with, but have never made before, for /your/ family... =) Lentil Soup, Minestrone, Swedish Meatballs, I love good food!
Hmm, this month I'm planning on going to more classes, doing more homework, and losing more sleep -- fun stuff.
Oh, and I'm gonna give blood for the first time next week... apparently I'm the first one in our family who is eligible to do it, since I haven't ever eaten any mad cows.
so you've reformed and are no longer skipping classes? Oooooh, claim to fame! In a family of so many I am sure its always nice to be able to say "I'm the first one" to do just about anything!
This is worth a comment update: Two days ago Kahlayla went for an entire day with only one accident, and using only one diaper. (Mon we took a day off to visit my parents, we are back at potty trainig today) I'm very proud of her! So the secret to this success? I have no earthly idea, but I can tell you the "naked potty training" has been super effective for us! I let her run around in her birthday clothes all day, and I think that really helps me to stay motivated about reminding her to go to the potty (the naked part is also why we are only doing potty training at home currently) . I've started leaving the bathroom door open and the light on so she can go in there by herself (about half of the time she actually prefers a little privacy). But I have to confess I live in fear of the day when she will not be happy telling me she went poopy and she will feel the need to bring me the evidence. I'm also really afraid of her taking her toys in there and "baptizing" them... But so far so good! It is soooo nice to not have to change stinky diapers...
I didn't mean that to sound braggy (or to gross anyone out!), I can't take any credit for any of this, obviously. And I should also say I have really prayed a lot about potty training b/c its caused my so much anxiety in the past. So Thank God for answering prayers and helping htis not to be stressful! And we are also a loooooooooooong way from being trained. As a wise person once said,"The road to a completely toilet-trained child is never devoid of potholes."
More potty talk!: We had a fun foray into the world of "big girl panties" tonight. I bought Kahlayla training panties ($8 for 3 pairs, you've got to be kidding me) and some pretty ones too ($10 for 6 pairs, thats comparable to what gorwnups pay for their... undergarments. They were cheaper than training undies but still ridiculous!). When we got home, I just couldn't see "rewarding" her efforts to use the potty consistently with the boring ole ugly training pants. So we broke out the pretty big girl panties and had fun running around in them (w/o any accidents, thankfully!) for a couple of hours this evening. Tomorrow will be a real test run day. Can she remember to take them off to go potty? We will see...

Maybe we need a new family pic. I love this one, but all the sun's glare somehow falls on you and Tim, and we lose your lovely facial features.
I know, that was not the assignment. I'm good at being off-topic.

She was skipping classes??
At least she wasn't eating mad cows. Good job, Bethany!

Aww, fun! It sounds like she is on a roll with this potty training business! And she's not even two yet! Way to go, Kahlayla! :D
Fun reading about the great job little Kahlayla is doing. Keep up the good work :)
new goal: if she's potty trained by the time she's 12 I will consider it a success =)
