A Post

It's been a while since I did a post on the ol' Chloes blog. So here one is.

My neighbor Kristin informed me today that she and her roommates sometimes say, "Well this is a Benrauscher size portion" when they're eating. This is because two years ago, I was at their place and I asked for a much smaller helping of ice cream than what I was given. And apparently I've done this several times. Plus, I eat slowly so it usually seems like I don't eat much. I eat so slow that by the time I'm done, it's time for the next meal. It's kind of nice - you don't ever get hungry.
I've never been a standard unit of measurement before - it's rather an honor, actually.

Still have some work to do in the Christmas presents department.

My car lately has been worked on a lot lately. My friend Andrew helped me change the tie rod ends. Shown in red in the picture, for your enjoyment, is an outer tie rod end. They help steer the car. Unfortunately they don't color-code the parts in real life. That would be nice.

In other news: I'm looking fw to Christmas. I'm helping my pastor watch his kids and his neighbor's kids on Friday afternoon. Looking fw to B coming to hang out. And, can't believe my other sister is 18. She's supposed to be about 8 right now. How did that happen?? Going to SpaTues on Tuesday. I've been emailing Danny DeVito because I think I am his twin. He is not convinced yet. Making a meal for my other pastor on Saturday b/c he had a baby...not sure if I should have signed up on the meal list, since I really don't know what to make. Maybe B could help me with that. Know any good recipes? Have taken up Aztec style pottery. Looking for a job is a really big thing right now that you could pray for me about. I built a time machine, but it can only go forward or back one second or less, so I haven't found much use for it yet. We'll see. Trying to get through several books, including Pleasing People, The Hidden Smile of God, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (4 more pages), which I'm borrowing from Tim. Raising a flock of partridges in some pear trees I just bought. Making coloring book pages for a Posada (Christmas party) that Joanna and Mara are having for the Hispanic tutoring kids and their parents. My Spike (R) business is really taking off, I went around today to every restaurant in town giving free samples. I expect orders to roll in tomorrow. Spikes are combination knife-fork-spoons. The handle is just a little hard to hold, but other than that they work great (and cost less!).

There you go. I know, nothing very interesting. That's okay though.

Spike. I love it. Let me know when it takes off. I can say I knew you before you hit it big.

You're kidding. They really DON'T color code it? Add that to why the workings of cars and I just don't really hit it off.

It's good to be up to date about how things are going for you, Ben. I do think it is funny that you are so dilligent about going to SpaTues--it sounds like an awful lot of beauty treatment for a guy (or for anyone for that matter).

I am just kidding--I do know what it stands for, but to those who were not familiar with the regular spaghetti eating get together it sounds like you go to the Spa every tuesday.
